We are looking for a Delegating Nurse to join our team! The RN is responsible for the initial and re-assessments of clients and the assessments of home health aides for each client

Duties Include:

  • Perform an initial patient assessment on all admitted patients
  • Identify patient care requirements and provide a caregiver service plan for each patient
  • Perform quarterly visits on all admitted patients
  • Perform performance evaluations on all licensed nurses and home health aides.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Maryland.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a licensed, registered nurse, preferably some home care clinical experience.

Description Job Purpose:

The Special Needs Respite Care Director provides an assessment and behavioral care planning for our Special Needs clients with different disorders including ADD, ADHD, Asthma, Autism, Cognitive Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and Dyslexia. Duties: Perform an initial patient assessment on all special needs clients Identify patient care requirements and provide a caregiver service plan for each client Perform quarterly visits on all admitted patients evaluating care Document patient care services/visits by charting in patient and department records. Perform an initial Skill Assessment on caregivers and training Participate in quality assurance activities. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential according to agency privacy policy.

Skills/Qualifications:

Qualification:

  • Graduation from accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Must have current license in the State of Maryland.
  • 1 year of nursing experience required. - CPR Certification and First Aid - Annual PPD - Three Professional References

Skills Required:

5-10 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher for children and/or adolescents with pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system.

A Masters Degree in Education and/or Special Education. Extensive experience with different disorders including ADD, ADHD, Asthma, Autism, Cognitive Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and Dyslexia.
